Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) LRSW

The SWAT event immerses competitors in a high-stakes scenario requiring tactical planning and execution. Participants will respond to a simulated emergency, such as shots already fired or officer down, making critical decisions under pressure.

Students should expect a real life scenario that would require a SWAT call out. Students will demonstrate current SWAT techniques to rescue all victims and secure all suspects. Students are expected to demonstrate how to quickly lay out a plan of action, approach the building/room tactically . Students must enter the building/room tactically.

Objectives

  • Students should expect a real life scenario that would require a SWAT call out. SWAT call outs can include but not limited to, person with a weapon, barricaded subject, or officer down. Students will demonstrate current SWAT techniques to rescue all victims and secure all suspects. Students are expected to demonstrate how to quickly lay out a plan of action, approach the building/room tactically (stack, diamond, heavy head). Students must enter the building/room tactically (fill and flow, button hook, etc.).
