Duties

• Serve a biennial term as the elected President of the Executive Council.
• Preside over monthly business meetings, ensuring they are productive, inclusive, and aligned with TPSA's mission.
• Coordinate closely with every member of the Leadership Team to ensure the mission and purpose of TPSA are realized in all initiatives.
• Cast the deciding vote in the event of a tie, demonstrating fair judgment and a deep understanding of TPSA's best interests.
• Represent TPSA in external communications and events, embodying our mission and purpose.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive culture within the Leadership Team and broader TPSA community.
• Review strategic plans, budgets, and key decisions.

• In coordination with the Board of Directors, Review budgets for all conferences and events, ensuring resources are used effectively.
• Lead the planning and facilitation of monthly all-hands meetings and Executive Council meetings, setting the agenda and ensuring key issues are addressed.
• In coordination with the Board of Directors, Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the organization.

As the Vice President (Career Development Program), you play a pivotal role in the execution and success of our Career Development Program, particularly through the regional conferences. Your primary responsibilities include stepping in for the President when necessary, overseeing the development of the Career Development Program, and coordinating with regional representatives to ensure the smooth organization and management of regional events.

• Assume the duties of the President in their absence, ensuring seamless leadership continuity.
• Oversee the development and execution of the Career Development Program, aligning with organizational goals.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for regional representatives, ensuring they are well-prepared and supported for their roles.
• Ensure that regional conferences meet the organizational standards and contribute effectively to the Career Development Program.
• Maintain quality control over regional events, ensuring they are logistically sound and provide meaningful experiences.
• Ensure adequate support staff and resources are available for regional conferences.
• Address any issues related to regional conferences swiftly and professionally.
• Communicate regularly with the Executive Council on the status and progress of regional conferences and the Career Development Program.

• Fulfill the role of the Vice President of the Career Development Program during their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.
• Oversee the annual election and monthly meetings of the Student Board President and Student Board Regional Officers.
• Review and propose changes to the Student Board by-laws at monthly business meetings, ensuring they continue to serve the best interests of our members.
• Collaborate closely with the Leadership Conference Coordinator to plan and execute all leadership conferences in accordance with the TPSA mission and vision.
• Oversee the work of the Student Content Coordinator and the Leadership Conference Coordinator, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Foster a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment for all Student Board members.
• Act as a liaison between the Student Board and the Executive Council, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
