The DWI Traffic Stop event aims to foster the critical development of student competencies associated with traffic law enforcement. It aims to instill an understanding of the requisite safety precautions, enhance communication abilities, and cultivate professional interpersonal skills that police officers employ during a DWI traffic stop. Moreover, it allows students to showcase their aptitude in effectively completing field sobriety testing and reinforcing the procedural aspects of the role. By engaging in this simulation, students gain exposure to the practical elements of police work, building a foundation of knowledge and skills crucial for future success in law enforcement.
