Crash Investigation LRCI

In the Crash Investigation event, competitors find themselves in a simulated environment designed to emulate a real-world Crash Investigation. Participants will engage in dynamic roleplay, and mimic the intricacies of a real crash investigation. They interact with individuals involved in a vehicle crash and any eye witnesses in a controlled environment, adhering to the standard protocols and procedures of law enforcement officers.

The Crash Investigation event aims to foster the critical development of student competencies associated with law enforcement. It aims to instill an understanding of the requisite safety precautions, enhance communication abilities, and cultivate professional interpersonal skills that police officers employ during a Crash Investigation. Moreover, it allows students to showcase their aptitude in effectively completing interviews of involved parties and eyewitnesses to determine what occurred and who should receive a citation. By engaging in this simulation, students gain exposure to the practical elements of police work, building a foundation of knowledge and skills crucial for future success in law enforcement.
