911 Call Taking LRCT

The 911 Call Taking event simulates the high-stress environment of emergency telecommunications. Competitors will handle a high-priority law enforcement call, gathering crucial information and maintaining call taker composure while multitasking.

The purpose of this event is to allow the student to realize the important role of the ETC (Emergency Tele-communicator) when receiving a call for help. This event will also teach the competitor how to de-escalate high stress situations using "Verbal Judo" tactics.
