use of suspect posters are allowed if actors are unavailable. Posters shall be mounted and secured at least 12" off the ground. Posters need to be secured to negate wind blowing them out of veiw during the event.

This event must be held in an area large enough to allow for the event stages to be properly spaced. Ground surface must be of solid surface and flat as to not create an increased level of difficulty or safety hazard for the competitors. (examples: athletic gyms, cafeterias, and large common areas are acceptable locations for this event. Areas with sand, mud, and turf are not acceptable)

This event may be held in a room large enough to accommodate three people and the Bunker Gear setup. The event may also be held outdoors on a solid ground surface and flat as to not create an increased level of difficulty or safety hazard for the competitors. (examples: athletic gyms, cafeterias, and large common areas are acceptable locations for this event. Areas with sand, mud, or unlevel ground are unacceptable)

A classroom or flex area large enough to accommodate a three person team, a judge, moderator, and a crime scene. This area should be secluded and not visible to anyone other than those directly involved in the event.

Concrete outdoor area with enough room to accomodate 2 patrol vehicles and 1 civilian vehicle in a standard high risk traffic stop formation. This event will be conducted outdoors regardless of weather conditions.

(each team must be provided an identical fiber sample for analysis. Example: 10 teams= 10 sealed evidence packages containing fiber evidence.)

Science classroom with lab height tables preferred, lab stools or chairs for students to sit on during analysis and writing phases.

(Each competitor shall receive the same items for fingerprinting, no exceptions. Example: 1 wine glass, 1 metal spoon is provided for competitor number 1. You will need an identical wine glass and metal spoon for each competitor. 10 Competitors = 10 identical wine glasses, 10 identical metal spoons. The same number of workable fingerprints shall be left on each item in the same relative location.)

Phase I: Individual workstations for each competitor. Standing height tables are preferred when available. Classroom or flex area large enough to accommodate competitors and tables.

Phase II: Individual workstations for each competitor. Each competitor must be provided a chair and a work surface suitable for spreading out multiple documents for analysis. The competitors may not be seated in a position to view another competitors documents. Classroom or flex area large enough to accommodate competitors and tables.

The event may also be held outdoors on a solid ground surface and flat as to not create an increased level of difficulty or safety hazard for the competitors. (examples: athletic gyms, cafeterias, and common areas are acceptable locations for this event. Areas with sand, mud, or unlevel ground are unacceptable)

This event must be held in an area large enough to allow for the event requirements. The area needs to contain at least two (2) corners for the competitor to clear. This event may be conducted indoors or outdoors.
