Competitors will attempt to correctly identify 20 bones from the human body as quickly as possible. To encourage criminal justice students to demonstrate and improve their ability in properly identifying bones.

Dress Code
Competitors shall wear one of the following uniform types; a uniform consistent with current standards in law enforcement patrol (no duty belt), lab coats (slacks, shirt, shoes (no tennis shoes unless solid black) ), or a jumpsuit.

Policies
Competitors in this event must be active members of the Texas Public Safety Association and in good standing with the Texas Public Safety Association.
Competitors must be familiar with and adhere to the Texas Public Safety Association Bylaws and Code of Conduct.
Plagiarism, copyright violation and falsification of information are prohibited. Any attempt to gain an unfair advantage will not be tolerated. Violation of the code of conduct or bylaws will result in disqualification and revocation of Texas Public Safety Association membership.
The scenario is a secret topic. Professional ethics demand that competitors DO NOT discuss or reveal the secret topic until after the event has concluded. Violation of the ethics rules will result in disqualification and revocation of Texas Public Service Association membership.
A twenty (20) minute maximum time limit has been set for this scenario.
Procedures
Competitor(s) will report to their respective event when called for or at a set reporting time.
Competitor(s) must check in with event management upon arrival and present photo identification for verification.
Competitor(s) will be directed (by room moderator) into the event room.
Instructions will be given (by room moderator) to the Competitor(s)
The room moderator will set a timer for 20 minutes.
When the moderator starts the timer and calls “start”, the competitor will locate the table in the room where 20 various bones will be laid out and numbered 1-20.
The competitor will don examination gloves.
The competitor will examine each individual bone and record the name of the bone in the corresponding blank on the answer form. Spelling mistakes will not be penalized as long as the correct bone can be identified either with the misspelling or verbally to the judge.
Upon completion of the analysis of all bones, the competitor will announce “Finished”, time will stop, and the competitor will immediately submit their list to the judges.
The moderator will call time when the 20 minute timer sounds. The competitor must place their hands in the air and back away if not finished.
A penalty of 1 minute will be added to the total time for each incorrectly identified bone.
